No data collection
Pictiary works without an account or internet connection. It has no advertising, analytics, tracking, telemetry, or purchases. The app does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data, and on Android it does not even request network access.
Photos and videos
Pictiary asks for permission to read the photos and videos on your device, because showing them to you one at a time is the whole app. It displays them where they already are and keeps no copies. You can allow access to your whole library or only to items you select. The app works either way and tells you when it sees only a selection. Your photos and videos are never uploaded or shared.
Removing photos and videos
Swiping an item into the bin deletes nothing: it stays on your device, and you can take it back out of the bin at any time. Only when you empty the bin does Pictiary ask your phone's operating system to delete what is in it. On iPhone and iPad your phone always shows its own confirmation first. On Android it does too, unless you have allowed Pictiary to manage media in your system settings, in which case emptying the bin is the confirmation. On iPhone and iPad the items move to Recently Deleted, and on Android they move to the system trash, where they can be recovered for about thirty days. Pictiary never removes anything you have not put in the bin and emptied yourself, and keeps no copy of what was removed. If your library syncs with a cloud photo service, that service handles the removal as it handles any deletion made in your gallery.
Data stored on your device
The app stores your settings, such as which side the bin is on, your colours and your language, and a record of your decisions locally on your device. That record lists which items you kept or put in the bin, using the identifiers your phone's media library already gives them. The app itself never sends this information anywhere. Your device operating system may include local app data in a device backup according to your device and account settings. Dominik Witka does not receive or have access to those backups.
Children
Pictiary collects no data from anyone, including children.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the app removes its locally stored settings and decision record according to the normal behaviour of your device platform. Uninstalling does not change your photos or videos.
Changes to this policy
If a future version changes these practices, this policy and the relevant app store disclosures will be updated before that version is released.
